In reaction to the Carter's 2014 Gammy performance Mike Huckabee has been quoted saying "Beyonce is incredibly talented gifted in fact. She has an exceptional set of pipes and can actually sing. She is a terrific dancer without the explicit moves best left for the privacy of her bedroom. Jay Z is a very shrewd businessman, but I wonder: Does it occur to him that he is arguably crossing the line from husband to pimp by exploiting his wife as a sex object?"
OK... let's dissect this here for a moment....
First of all as a married woman who WORKS, my husband has nothing to say about how I conduct my job and lets face fact here. Entertaining via music is Beyonce's job! They're called stage costumes and "pimping" herself out is not what she's doing. Sex sells here in the good ole USA and she too is a business woman who entertains as her job. With that said, Jay too is an entertainer and knows very well the nature of the job.
Mike Huckabee... please have a seat and stop trolling! I would agree to some extent politics is a form of "entertainment" because they are acting for the cameras but this was way out of place. Maybe we can chalk his comments up to him being a bit old and not with the times?
Secondly, I know very few women whose husband has anything to say about their wives choice in attire completely. As a grown woman we all, including Beyonce know what we like in apparel and I know of no woman who's husband is their personal stylist. If I ask for my husbands opinion then that's an entirely different story but day to day... I wear what I like and I know how to conduct myself. Women are well aware of what's considered provocative.
