You Reap What U Sow

With 2015 approaching we know that a new year is a symbolic start of renewal and a fresh start but new habits doesn't have to begin at the start of a year.  I've actually started laying seeds to have 2015 be a very dynamic year.

I would like to share some of the things that I've stumbled upon that I'm using to enrich myself. One thing that I'm increasingly becoming aware of is that we all know ourselves and what's best for ourselves more than anyone else. We all have internal guides that we learn how to mute it as we grow but it's the one sense that we should grow and fine tune. It's ironic that at the same time I started reading The Gift of Fear by Favin De Becker, I also happen to stumble upon a lecture done by Oprah. The two are different but have similarities that spoke to me directly about what I must do to grow and be my best self. In Oprah's speech she says that her life's philosophy is to live by Newton's law of physics. For every action, there is an equal reaction but basically it's the law of karma that she's discussing. Everything that you do has a impact and everything that you're doing now will come back to you in the future. This is the meaning of you reap what you sow. Basically the seeds you plant for yourself is what you get in the future so plant good seeds. START living YOUR true life now so that in the future, it comes to you or the byproducts of that which you've started.

In the book The Gift Of Fear it speaks about the instinctual guide we have. It starts off with a compelling story of survival and how people instinctually know things but tend to reason them out. A good one from the book is how we as people recognize dogs ability to read people but in actuality it's not the dog reading people but our dog knows us and reads us to the point the dog reacts and we say our dog never trusted so and so. This man has made a business of harnessing what we all have naturally and his job is to show it to ourselves. He's trying to teach his readers that we already possess a natural ability to guide us to our destiny and ultimately keep ourselves safe from those who intend us harm.

I'm learning that I must fine tune my innate ability and quiet myself so that I listen to my inner guide. I must learn to meditate so that I drown out the background noise. I must know that when I feel that something isn't right, that I'm 100% right. It happens a lot to all of us yet we never listen to make plans to change our circumstances.

Are you sitting at your desk right now at your job scrolling the internet thinking that something just isn't right but you just don't know what it is? Are you actually scrolling the internet looking for something to pop out and speak directly to you? I know I've been there... too often to count and this is me speaking directly to you. Listen to yourself. LISTEN! And with that new voice you hear... plant and sow away.

Good luck!

So 2015 is upon us and with it comes new fashion trends. I'm so ready for Spring '15! Couldn't get here fast enough for me. Let's take a look at some fashion forecast to keep your wardrobe current and your wallet with filled with cash. Investing in a few key items will keep you fashion forward without breaking the bank.

A Bold Print Blazer
A bold print blazer can be paired with just about anything. Jeans, shorts, skirts, dresses, tank tops, business casual, flats, sandals, boots, and the list goes on and on. Remember to add jewelry to really make a powerful statement and switching up the jewelry and bottoms can make your blazer really pay off by pulling off different looks.

A Bold Pantsuit
If you notice the last picture from the same bold blazer is the suit jacket for this pantsuit.
Key take away is for you to utilize what you have already. Bright colored pantsuits can also give you the wow factor while looking effortlessly classy. Go from the office to happy hour to the club with one look. How can you go wrong with that?

A Bold Boho Dress

To sum it up, 2015 is all about the patterns and bright colors. Adding a few bold patterns into your current staples will definitely get you noticed.

2015 New Year = New You

With 2014 quickly coming to an end most of us will have new goals and aspirations for a successful 2015. If you need a little help with determining some good goals that will help you out, don't worry.. I've done all the work for you. Take a look at my list for 2015 and hopefully you'll be on your way to a great 2015.

1. Have wayyy more sex!
Doesn't matter if you're in a long term relationship or if your single. Sex is the easiest thing to get and the best thing to do to relieve stress so why not do more of it. Just make sure that it's protected sex and if 2 is a crowd (yourself and one other... shouldn't need to clarify that but some of you are freaks (in a good way))... then do it by yourself. Lelo anyone???

2. Buy yourself some nice underwear. I know it sounds a bit silly as a new years resolution but personally nothing makes me feel more sexy and confident knowing that under my clothes, I'm sexy and picture perfect. Just in case. Besides, you never know... my mother works in a hospital and she always mentioned that people noticed when patients had on nice underwear. Hopefully you're never in a hospital and they're cutting your clothes off but it's the visual that I was going for.

Also on a personal note, my husband never comments on my pretty underwear and I'm sure he notices because he always mentions how horrible my granny panties are if I have them on. So if you have on sexy underwear and you really want to spice things up for yourself... throw in some ben wa balls. Not big ones... just little ones so that you feel them. Oh and Lelo makes some good starter ones too (don't ask me how I know but I do).

Oh so girly Christmas Trees

I'm married but if I were single and lived in my own girl zone home (LOL) I would so have a tree like one of these. It would be me, my girly tree, a drink and my Lelo... hahahha.  Enjoy!

By the way... people are so creative. Who thinks of these types of things? If you have a great out of the box twist on something ordinary please share. I love those types of things.

HIT or MISS... Music Edition

Broke with Expensive Taste by Azealia Banks is a HIT!!!

This CD has to be the most under-rated CD of the year. I honestly love about 90% of it and it's pure music with a true eclectic vibe.
One of my favorites on the CD is Gimme A Chance with it's infusion of Salsa and shows the influence of her NYC upbringing rich in Hispanic heritage. Ohhhh... I love it and I don't even listen to Salsa but this songs makes me appreciate it.
Then you have Heavy Metal and Reflective, SODA and Ice Princess which shows her lyricist skills with beats mixed heavily with dance pop.
Overall a great album and believe me... I don't purchase full albums often.

Take a listen for yourself here : Broke With Expensive Taste

listen to Soda below and let me know if you agree.
